Bhimashankar is famous for Bhimashankar Temple which is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in the country. Also, it is famous in the wildlife enthusiast circuit as it has a beautiful wildlife sanctuary that is home to Indian Giant Squirrel Ratufa indica elphinstoni, locally known as Shekru.This is state animal for Maharashtra.Monsoon is the best time to do this trek.We will be walking in the Bhimashankar wilderness watching everything.We can come across uncommon wild flowers, variety of birds, some colourful butterflies and other insects. Some Frogs or Snakes also might cross our path. While we walk our team will be telling you the information about these wild beauties.

05:45 a.m. – Meet Team Prawasvede at Office in Sadashiv Peth.
06:00 a.m. – Departure from Prawasvede Office in Sadashiv Peth.

09:30 a.m. – Reach Bhimashankar Temple & Start Jungle Walk
No Toilets are available on the Trek route
02:00 p.m. – Lunch. And Again a small stroll in jungle and back to bus by 4.15pm
04:30 p.m. – Departure from Bhimashankar
09:00 p.m. – Reach Back to Pune.
We may come to Pune ONE Hour Before OR After the given time.

- Backpack (no sling bags, one side bags etc.)
- Hiking pants, Woolen pullover/ Gloves,Jacket,Cap/Hat,socks, Cold cream, Sunglasses
- Trekking equipment like trekking Shoes with good grip,trekking pole
- Crape Bandage (if you have one at home)
- Water bottle (Minimum 2-3 LTRs)
- Torch(we reach early to the base village, it will be useful)
- Extra set of Clothes (to wear after the trek, in return journey)
- Some ready to eat food like plum cakes, fruits, dry fruits, chocolates, biscuits,etc.
- Any prescribed personal medicine (e.g.anti-allergic medicines suggested by doctor).
